Peter is currently a member and co-founder of Lift Insight & Capital Partners, founded in 2022 by a group of good friends and former business leaders who are partnering with growing companies and impactful non-profit organizations to assist with sustained and robust growth.

Prior to co-founding Lift, Peter held the role of CEO at Whitmor for twenty years until retiring in 2020 following a forty-year career at Whitmor. A fourth-generation family owned and operated business founded in 1946, Whitmor is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of home storage, organization, and laundry accessory products, and provides luxury home organization services and products through its subsidiary Neat Method. While initially focusing on establishing a corporate culture at Whitmor which he envisioned as necessary for long-term success of the family business, Peter continued to play a significant role in ensuring cultural stability along with being actively involved in various areas of the business including talent acquisition, mentoring within the organization, and leading the company’s executive team in establishing strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining Whitmor, Peter was engaged in the practice of law. Peter graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and subsequently received his law degree from the University of Memphis. Peter has served on the Boards of the Southaven Chamber of Commerce, Desoto County Economic Development Council, and Plough Towers, and is currently on the Board of The Unknown Child Foundation and serves on the Allocation Committee for the Lemsky Foundation of the Memphis Jewish Federation. Peter, an avid sports fan, enjoys travel, golf, pickleball and spending time with friends and family. His oldest son, Scott, serves as CEO at Whitmor, and his youngest son, Andrew, resides in Alpharetta, Georgia where he is the Director of Racquet Sports at Lifetime Fitness.
